The official texts your translation follows

When your document quotes a regulation, a standard or a law that has an official English version, your translation uses that English, word for word. These are the texts I keep aligned, sentence by sentence.

Upload your document on the quote page and it’s compared, in your browser, with these texts: only numeric fingerprints of your sentences are sent, never the text. The quote then shows which official texts your document quotes and what following them saves.

A sentence quoted from one of them is charged as text that is already translated, and its terms go into your glossary verified from the start. The rest of your document follows their terminology: a “sociedad” in the Companies Act is a “company” throughout, not a “corporation”.

The texts are in the language your document is written in, translated into English by the EU, the standard-setter or the government that published them.
